The Calfskin Archive: Bluebonnet

Premium calfskin in custom Bluebonnet blue.

This is a proprietary color developed specifically for Heirloom Field. The blue is soft, muted, and shifts slightly in different light. appearing more gray in shadow, more blue in direct light.

The color is named for the Texas bluebonnet wildflower. It is not bright. It is not pastel. It is restrained.

The Material

Full-grain Italian calfskin. Drum-dyed for color consistency throughout the leather, not just on the surface.

Drum-dyeing means the color penetrates the entire hide. Scratches and scuffs will not reveal a different color underneath.

The Color

Bluebonnet is a tone-on-tone blue. It pairs with denim, navy, cream, white, and earth tones.

The color will deepen slightly with age and wear. High-wear areas may show subtle darkening.

Construction

Goodyear welt construction. Full leather lining. Stacked leather heel.

The boot is resolable and built to last 10+ years with proper care.

Care

Wipe with soft, dry cloth. Condition every 3-6 months with neutral leather cream. Avoid prolonged water exposure.

The color is permanent but will develop natural patina over time.
